2 wab files in Outlook Express directory

I recently had to format my HD and reinstall windows. I moved the old wab file from the backup to the new directory and deleted the new wab file. But OE won't use my old wab file, it keeps creating a new wab file and uses that. I renamed the old wab file wabold.wab. When I double click it, it brings up my contacts organized in the groups as I had them and lists the directory and file name, Address Book - (C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\wabold.wab). When I double click on the other wab file, it says Address Book - Main Identity.

How do I get it to use the old wab file? Doesn't matter what I name the old one, it still creates a new one and uses that instead, which doesn't have my old contacts and groups. Exporting/importing doesn't work, it keeps importing the contacts from the new wab file, and it doesn't give me any selection for exporting other than a wab, no csv or other format.

The import function actually did import all my contacts, but it put them all in the Main Identity folder. It didn't import any of my folders. It was easier to simply rebuild my folders and move the contacts back rather than trying to hassle with trying to figure out what was going on with the wab file. Only took about 10 minutes.
