What do people think of NAV

Hi all,
i have been reading numerous threads re the "Britiney Spears" virus, my conern is that NAV is detecting the virus but not deleting it. People are obviously very frustrated re this annoying issue, my question to you guys is what are peoples opinions re NAV and the issue of it not deleting the virus. I use NAV and Norton firewall, and do'nt use P2P sights, i get alerts on a regular basis re people attemting to access my pc although the are always blocked. Basically i would welcome peoples opinions on other anti virus software and firewalls as i have only used Norton.
Regards Kia.

My opinion on NAV in general is .. well.. Its just total sh1t!

I personaly use PC-Cillin 2003, Although it really doesnt seem to get on with Outlook Express. It keeps deleting the servers if you have POP protection turned on. I have it disabled, which doesnt bother me too much..

As for Firewall, i use BlackICE. Which has got to be one of the most amazing peices of software i have ever encountered. It might not look as great as some of these big named firewalls. But it defaintly does the job it was made for

The vast majority of these alerts are perfectly routine Internet traffic. It could be a web server that you've previously visited checking to see if you're still there, or it could be a robot or infected machine looking for open ports. As long as you have a good firewall you probably have nothing to worry about.

I use Norton Internet Security (which includes NAV, Norton Personal Firewall and Ad blocking) and I haven't had any of the problems that some people seem to be having with it. I don't use file sharing programs either - that might have something to do with my machine staying clean.
