Mozilla ready to re-ignite the Browser Wars

Is anyone out there using Mozilla? Iv'e been using it since 1.0 and am now on 1.1 Does anyone think its better than I.E. ? It certainly seems to run a lot faster and comes with some really useful features. Plus it's Open Source so it can only get better.

Is Mozilla set to take center stage from I.E. ?

Usage of the latest Mozilla browser doubled and Netscape 7 grew by 67 percent but the latest browser study shows that Internet Explorer 6 is king
Check out this article

Mozilla is cool but still I am used to IE. I don't think Mozilla can beat IE, because it is pre install in all Windows operating system.

IE being pre installed with Windows is a point. But with some Linux distributions Mozilla comes pre installed.

I dont really think Netscape can really figure anymore in the Browser Wars. It would be better for Mozilla if it could lose it's assosiation with Netscape, that is coding etc. and really come into it's own.

As a web designer I find Mozilla great for it's standard compliance.

As a Netscape fan, I decided to try and download Mozilla as soon as it hit 1.0. It looked good, but couldn't compete at all. It did not have the compatiblity to actually compete. Later I tried 1.1 and I couldn't believe the improvements. I honestly think that since 1.1, Mozilla has been the best browser on the market. Its faster, looks better and is way more customizable than IE6.0. It also has a popup blocker built in.

I think the browser wars could possibly re-ignite. But, since IE is bundled, unfortunately, few people will even try it.
anjovi05, I think you should get 1.1, or even 1.2beta.

I personally like I.E. I think that Mozilla is too much of a memory hog..I try to run anything else like photoshop at the same time and my computer decides it wants to freeze. I'll be sticking with I.E from now on..

beamer23 these posts are 6 years old, look at the dates on the top left of the post, u should answer the recent posts as no one really cares about a 6 year old thread.
