Wireless Internet Explorer Problem
I just got a new laptop at work (IBM ThinkPad T40) and I am trying to get set up at the house. I have a DSL and use a Linksys Wireless Access Point Router (BEFW11S4 Ver2). If I wire laptop directly into the Router everything works fine. I can get onto the internet and surf with no problem. If I need to log into company network through VPN-E by NCS, I also have no problem getting to the internet.
The problem is when I go wireless. I have no issues when I log into company network and surf. If I do not log into company network, I can get to some sights but not others. Google OK, Yahoo Not OK. Very few sites work. If I ping yahoo and others, there is no problem. 4sent, 4returned, 5- to 60 ms.
This is really bizarre and I even have our IM stumped. I have changed many settings in internet options with no sucess. Security is Low. Have also tried with Proxy Servers both ON and Off.
Have also updated firmware in router and it did not help.
Operation System is 2000 Professional. Internet Explorer 5.50.
