I recently was told that Yoper Linux, out of NZ had
a new OS, and the speed and install time was better
than any Major Linux. Well, I went to their site,
http://www.yoper.com and had a look. To my surprise,
the controlled tests seemed to be accurate. I have used at
different times, many different Linux brands, but this
one seemed different. They offered a free download,
so I did. The install time was under 8 min, and bootime
as they said, was less than 1 minute.
I was very impressed with V2. I am a long time NT
and W2k user, and have always been a little disappointed
in the Linux distros.
I will have to say, it is the first Linux system faster than
my tweaked xp or w2k.
Looks like the first serious contender from the Linux
community to seriously threaten Microsoft. Wow, it
is fast.
I now use Yv2 alongside my Windows, whenever I want to
ride in a ferrari-
