Need help transferring Outlook Express files from Mac to PC

This may be a non-starter, but perhaps somebody has a helpful suggestion.

I'm moving from my mac (OS 8.6, Outlook Express v.5) to a PC (XP Prof, Outlook Express v. 6) and would like to move my email folders and address book over to the PC. I can't find a way to do it! Help!!

Mac OE v5 has limited "export" capability (contacts only), and even they can't be imported into PC OE v6. Worse yet, I can't find any way to export the email messages from Mac OE v5. Alas, the file structure of the programs looks incompatible to my eye. I can't seem to coerce the PC into recognizing the Mac files.

Any suggestions?

Or should I just stop being a pack rat and accept that my old emails are about to become toast ..?

All ideas are appreciated!
