That's interesting. I knew IBM was interested in linux. I wonder what flavour they chose or are they developing their own. Linux has become quite popular due to the cost and activation thing with windows.

It looks like Bill Gates' strategy may have backfired.

This, according to Reuters:

"No one could have possibly arranged for more publicity for the open-source movement and its importance than Bill Gates coming and giving $400 million to fight Linux," said Atul Chitnis, an adviser to the Bangalore Linux Users Group whose conference ended Thursday."
