Hi
I installed mandrakelinux 10.1 on my computer and when I booted to harddisk it came up with GRUB>
Is there anyone there Who could help

The Mandrake install is mostly automatic. Grub and lilo are boot loaders. You must have specified Grub because I'm sure lilo is default. I would go back through the install seqence to the boot loader part and make sure lilo is installed to the mbr.

I have Mandrake 10.1 also as a dual boot. Only difference I have is I have it set up so to boot into linux, I have to put a floppy disk in before I turn the computer on. Last time I had linux as a dual boot (mandrake 9.0) lilo decided that it didnt want to work and it took a while to get it fixed but then the partiton where linux was got corrupted. SO I yanked teh whole thing off.

Wish I could help ya, but I'm still trying to figure linux out myself.

I got into linux when I was running window ME. ME was just so bad and I was having so much trouble. But since I've gotten used to xp, I rarely use linux. Xp is terrific. I always keep a current version of Mandrake installed for backup but I rarely go in anymore. I have my old computer freed up now and want to use it for testing other distros - the next being Xandros.

And if I dont ger lilo boot loader to work i wil just remove the whole thing and go back to SuSE linux 9.2.

Well you might want to try mandrakes message board or a linux specific board first.
