Can't access internet with Windows Server 2003

Hi,

First the obvious to anyone who reads on - I'm not sure I know what I'm doing. In fact, I'm sure I don't know what I'm doing.

I have an internet set up that goes:
Internet - Netscreen - Switch - a) to Workstation and b) to Server.

The internet connectioin for the workstation is fine. However, for the server, I'm getting the message "Windows cannot renew the IP address from the DHCP server". Any ideas why?

After reading a previous post, I tried typing "ipconfig /all" into the Command window, which showed an IP address that I then put into the Server's connection. Still no luck.

Any thoughts, ideas much appreciated.

Hi,

Ended up calling the professionals in. Turned out the Netscreen configurations had corrupted during a move from one location to another - perhaps. The guys didn't really seem to understand why it wasn't working. After about four hours of them poking around, the system is now working fine, but I'm none the wiser...

Still confused but way beyond caring anymore..back to my day job.
