Connecting Linux with Win2003 .. help! I'm new

Hi, need help on building network connections actually.

1) I will be given 3 servers and need to install it with linux (any linux) and win2003
2) There will be 15 main services with 5 on each server plus 2 additional services
- DNS - Firewall - NFS
- DHCP - FTP - Webmail
- WINS - Telnet - Proxy
- SMTP - SSH - www
- POP/IMAP - Media server -NMS

okay, here's the questions

1) Is SAMBA the only suite that can make network connection
2) I need to know which sevices should be installed in both OS best
3) Can someone suggest 2 more services
4) where can I get a reliable information for all these stuffs ( i need an address)

Thanks
