Unhappy Hard Disk Problem - Please Help

One of our tech guys accidently ran mkfs on a hard disk on a Redhat system.
We would like to recover the data from this hard disk.

What is the possible way that we can recover the data?

Any suggestion is very helpful.

thanks
Prakash
