installing xp over linux

can someone help me i installed linux on my laptop and now i want to go back to xp but every time i put in the xp disc and reboot it freezes at the configuring setup screen and i have no idea how to get xp to install so plzzzz help me

Use the linux installer CD to delete the linux partition and make a new one in FAT32. (Not sure if any linux installers can make NTFS partitions).

Then use the windows CD to install to the new blank FAT32 partition.

Or use FDisk with fixmbr switch (pls lookup command line)
