Mac OS X 9.1 Forgot Login Password

K this is not even my computer. I HATE mac.
So anyways a friend got this Mac OS X 9.1 and he don't remember his password (typical problem).
The setup CD is missing.
What are solutions and/or suggestions? I tried searching but got off it quicky, cuz of I'll say it again I hate mac. Don't even tell me its cool and stuff cuz I won't get into it.
Anyways thanks in advance to all who help me out even though I 'flame' mac.

Not the best way to get an answer bud, but if you like Windows so much, you can have it. Take all of it you want. I laughed when I saw your signature. Typical.

Your friend does need a Mac OS 9 startup disk.

Boot from a Mac OS 9 CD or other bootable disk
You'll be able to access the entire disk from there.
Go to /System Folder/Preferences
Delete the Multiple Users preferences file
Restart
