How to set up Linux on computer step by step

Dear,

I am in charged of IT in a High School. I have studied about Linux within one month. I like to get a book or a document as User Guide of Linux Installation or training manual. If anyone have any written document of installing Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu, SuSe,...), please send me a copy of it (via email or website). I need a detailed guidance that I can do by myself on my computer. I think if it is confidential, please, pardon me.
Thanks advance

Thyen

There's nothing confidential about installing linux... Google "ubuntu install", there's even sites with screenshots of the ENTIRE installation process.

Why does everybody suggest Ubuntu?

There are many different versions about, thyen. For the definitive linux site that may have a particular type suitable for you: http://distrowatch.com/
It is usual for each distribution to be accompanied by a guide. Sometimes two. Download of such a guide will be free, usually.

Thy Yen,
Have you ever known about Hacao, a Vietnamese version of Linux?
Just use it.

Hey Thyen,
Ubuntu is most popular distro of linux and is widely used it is freely available with both community and professional support.
Ubuntu includes more than 16,000 pieces of software, but the core desktop installation fits on a single CD. Ubuntu covers every standard desktop application from word processing and spreadsheet applications to web server software and programming tools.
