Exclamation Problem Uninstalling Fedora 8

I Hav winxp Sp2 & fedora8 in Dual Boot.now I Want To Remove Fedora.i Know The Partition Can Be Formatted But My Query Is How To Remove The Grub Safely Without Disturbing Winxp.is "fixmbr" Command Safe.when I Give That Cmd Xp Warns That It May Be Impossible To Access Partition After Doing That .plz Help

Best way to format a drive like that is to do it using a Win98 boot disk. then convert the partition to a NTFS drive and you should be good. Also look into a program called Norton Partition Magic 8. its a utility that allows you to do some pretty amazing stuff within windows....without having to use a CMD prompt.

You don't really uninstall Linux - you format the partitions and it's gone. Boot your PC using bootable Xp CD. Go to the recovery console and use Fixmbr and reboot. Hopefully Grub will be gone then in Windows you can delete the Linux partitions, now.
