Pls....Help me

I have a problem in my hardisk. I already st up to bios as hardisk priority, but it will not boot. what i want is that how to make it bootable and upon pressing f4, i will be easily redirected to dos prompt or c:.. but hw can i do it? pls. help me guys.

Well I would get a live Linux cd maybe Kanotix and use qt parted to check for access to disk, working in this order:
1: reconfigure your bios to boot from live cd,then when cd loaded if Hdd is mountable it will show on desktop.
2:If the device i.e hdd is not mounted use qt parted on the live cd to make it active.
3:with very few exceptions Live cd`s can get you up and running and there are quite a few diagnostics that can be run (Forensics)with certain distos as well.
once you have hdd accessed you could transfer data to another machine before replacing hdd or using qt parted on live CD to repartition and reinstall.
