Fedora like a zombie!!!

I recently installed Fedora Core 1

1. It hangs when loading email transport for about 2.5 to 3 min then finally loads.
2. When inside Fedora it is real slow and simple games like chromium run about 2 frames a sec...real bad.
3. When I shutdown Fedora It will turn off completely..about 7 sec later it will reboot itself.

What could be the issue?

specs
2.4ghz intel
512mb ram
120gb harddrive

Weird I just installed Mandrake 9.2 and I am having the same issue in my post above that it will boot itself after shutdown and power is completely off. I see it is only linux based systems that will do this not my win xp...hmm..still need help.

Well I found someone else with this problem on another forum and he read somewhere to disable power managment in cmos setup but disable of power managment was not an option however I could go into power managment and there where options the only thing I could find close enough was as it read (after AC power lost) it was on power off hmm..cant figure it out I guess I cant turn my power managment off. My BIOS is award modular ver6.00

Anyone know the problem?

Maybe its possible I need to update my BIOS because I see no where to disable power managment although there are options inside the power managment option but not to disable it.
