Repair Windows System Files 98/2000/XP/Vista

If you have had a virus/trojan infection or your PC is having general issues you can run system file checker.
You will need a windows SP2/SP3 cd or Vista dvd.

Place your Windows disk in the drive.
open a command prompt.
type in sfc /scannow (there is a space between sfc and /)
windows will check for the integrity of Microsoft system files.
