Internet Explorer Browser Spam... :(

Ive got a really annoying problem with my internet explorer...

Suddenly, my ie will continually open browser windows until about 50-60 are open (it doesnt open a certain web-page). This happens at random times, theres no real pattern to this problem occuring.

To be honest its getting on me nerves, it takes up too much memory and im sometimes on an important webpage before i have to close it down..

can anyone tell me what on earth this is? Is it a virus or a faulty plugin or something??

Thanx in advance,

tom

EDIT: The bad language has gone, sorry bout that

did you install any kind of Tool Bar for you I.E,, those pop up odes not happen on its own, obviously you have something in your computer that triggers it,, go to Add/Remove program see if you have anything that you did not tend to install (It happened to me,, I have about 4 items install ).
go to C:\Document and setting\yourprofile\localsetting\temp and delete everything from there.. also under localsetting\Temporary Internet Files delete everything (except index.dat)... further more: if you are comfortable to edit the registry, I would suggest to search for these Key word and delete the key.

System Restore option in Windows Me/XP
http://www.augustana.ab.ca/other/cns/virus/
http://www.adamtj.org/repository/how....Blaster.Worm/
Users of Windows Me and Windows XP should temporarily turn off System Restore. Windows Me/XP uses this feature, which is enabled by default, to restore the files on your computer in case they become damaged. If a virus, worm, or Trojan infects a computer, System Restore may back up the virus, worm, or Trojan on the computer.

Windows prevents outside programs, including antivirus programs, from modifying System Restore. Therefore, antivirus programs or tools cannot remove threats in the System Restore folder. As a result, System Restore has the potential of restoring an infected file onto your computer, even after you have cleaned the infected files from all the other locations.

Also, a virus scan may detect a threat in the System Restore folder even though you have removed the threat.

For instructions on how to turn off System Restore, read your Windows documentation, or one of the following articles:
