Unable to uninstall Works Suite 2000

I am trying to uninstall Works Suite 2000 from my computer and everytime I try it comes up with the error

"unable to register task"

I have read article # 816273 from the MS Knowledge Base and it still will not install. I am trying to upgrade from the 2000 to 2003. Anybody know what else I can try?

Note: Running Windows 98
