Microsoft Picture it! photo xp software

When I opened the progrham to use it, it flashed ineeded some kind of download? I tried to unload the pictures from my dig. camara card but the prog. would not download them and locked up. i have searched microsoft support and downloads and cant find any answers! does anyone out there have any? HELP!

Not sure but I think you need the camera driver installed if you dont already have. I have a Fuji camera. I tried Fuji's software but did not care for it. I use Cam2pc for transferring the pics and resizing if neseccary - its easy to use with good documentation and its free. I also use Ifranview's free tool for doing some simple viewing and editing. Sorry, I hav'nt tried Picture It as I have had little luck with microsoft programs.
