"Lost" email address in Outlook 2000

Hi, I maintain a number of email lists using Outlook 2000 and running Win98SE.

Every time I send an email to these lists, I get one lady asking to be removed from the list. The problem is that I can't find her email address anywhere. I have been through the lists manually and can't see it, I've used the internal search on any available vaguely related term and can't see it.

But every time I send out an email, she gets a copy. Is there a chance that the address is somehow hidden?

I had a similar problem a while ago, but this was with an email that bounced back continually from an invalid address - again I couldn't find it, but it seemed to keep being sent. That one just cleared itself up somehow.

Any ideas?

Has she got a similar email address to someone on your distribution list?

Some ISPs will divert email to a similar address if the other one doesn't exist.

You might need to send emails to individual recipiants to find out which one is going to her address.

Thanks for the suggestion, her email is on blueyonder.co.uk, but there's not anything like the name part (as opposed to the domain). My thoughts were like yours in that there is some kind of re-direct going on.

The thing is she WAS on the list and thought she was, but when she asked to be removed I couldn't find her email address.

This may help ...

Open Outlook > Help > Answer Wizard > type 'hide a contact' > Search > Double Click ' Troubleshoot Contacts > Expand I can't see my contacts ...

PS

I am on Blueyonder and get at least one email each day addressed to someone with a similar name. Spookey

Thanks again, I don't have the time now, but I'll try the route you suggest tomorrow

Also, be sure to look through both the Contacts and the Address Book. Since I use both Outlook and Outlook Express, I have some entries in each that are not in the other and Outlook will happily use the addresses in the Address Book that are not in its Contacts folder.
