Angry Windows XP Home edition User accounts

Hi there!
Am being sent completely insane by Windows XP Home Edition! One of the problems is I cannot delete a couple of user accounts. When I try it all starts off OK and then jams. Does anyone have any idea what I could try?
Thanks in advance
Lib

User accounts

Hi Snowmonkey

Thank you for replying so quickly.

The accounts are all admin accounts and I created them.

I had the same problem. To delete the account I had to carry out the following

CMD Prompt

Navigate to the Documents & Settings Directory

type the following

cacls "Name of account to be deleted" /E /G administrator:F

Replace "Name of account to be deleted" with the user name of the account which you want to remove

Replace Administrator with your own user account which youare currently logged in with.

You should then be able to remove the accounts folder under documents and settings just by selecting delete.

The next step is to go and deletthe user account in the normal way through control panel

Good Luck

Thank you, Wend, for your reply.

I tried what you suggested, but it still jams! I think I am doomed to have these accounts forever!
