IE Favorites Help

ok, heres whats going on...My western digital hd is on the way out..I get a S.M.A.R.T status : Bad....To make a long story short..I connected the new hd as the master and the bad one as slave....Im in the middle of transfering files over now...mostly photos and mp3's......But how would I be able to get to my IE favorites from my bad hd?

There are several ways:
To use option #1 or #2, first locate the Favorites folder on the new drive. If you're running Win98/ME, it will be in the Windows folder. If XP, it will be in Documents and Settings>UserName.

Option #3 is the easiest, in my opinion.

1. Copy the Favorites folder from the old drive to the location of the Favorite folder on the new and tell it "yes to all" when it asks if you want to overwrite.

2. Open the Favorites folder on the old drive, select everything in it and drag (or copy and paste) it all into the Favorites folder on the new drive. Using copy instead of cut will ensure you won't lose any of it if the pasting goes bad for any reason.

3. Open Internet Explorer, go to File>Import and Export, tell it to import Favorites, choose "Import from a file or address," browse to the location of the Favorites folder on the old drive, tell it to import.
