Firefox Browser google autosearch from addressbar

I did this to make firefox autosearch with google from the addressbar,

1. type about:config in the addressbar
2. type keyword.URL in the filter bar
3. change value to http://www.google.com/search?lr=&so...F-8&oe=UTF-8&q=

and it worked fine on my machine at work (XP pro) , but at home(XP home) it only works if i type in 2 or more words. If I type one word i get http://word/ and results of "page not found".

Any advice will be appreciated.
