problems with newsgroups in ms outlook express

i'm not sure what info. i'm supposed to include besides the problems i'm having, which are:
1. i get `errors', which i have included the urls' to (i hope this is ok to do):
http://rctaddict.tycoonplanet.com/newsgroups.jpg
http://rctaddict.tycoonplanet.com/newsgroups2.jpg
2. when i go to reset the newsgroups it downloads around 30,000 some then hangs up. i get a box about something not responding.
3. when i got to a newsgroup everything's fine for a few minutes, then it outlook express closes (http://rctaddict.tycoonplanet.com/newsgroups.jpg, i believe.)
the only info. i can give you offhand regarding my computer is the following:
amd duron
1.30 ghz
256 mb of ram
windows xp home edition
not sure what else you need, to be honest.

Try this
Tools>Options>Maintenance>Troubleshooting> uncheck all

only things checked under troubleshooting are news and mail. by unchecking them what will that do? by the way, i unchecked them yet it still stops downloading at around 30,000 some newsgroups. i click ctrl-alt-del and it says something's not responding. i haven't selected a newsgroup yet to see if outlook express will close after a few minutes.
