Media Player Scroll Volume Problem
Hi, I have Windows XP Home SP2.
My problem is that when I am listening to audio or watching a video in ANY version of Windows Media Player (I even tested the old "mplayer2.exe" application; I orignally had this problem in WMP 9 and thought the problem would go away after installing the newest Windows Media Player 10, but it didn't), if i change the volume, to, for instance, 50, and then scroll along to another point in time, Windows Media Player automatically changes the volume back to 100 (but the bar still is set on 50, and when I click on the bar, the volume jumps back down to 50). I can even hit the Mute button, and when I scroll forward, the Mute button is still toggled On, but the volume is obviously at 100. I cannot recall if I had this problem before SP2.
What's odd is RealPlayer also does this, but iTunes does not. I updated my Creative SoundBlaster Audigy drivers, and even uninstalled some programs that were audio-related to see if they were the problem, but nothing has worked so far.
Thank you for your help.
