.UIF File Extension

Does anyone know what software I should use to read a log file with a .uif extension? I googled, and found .uif is a long file for Corel Word Perfect...I downloaded the trial of Word Perfect, but my uif file was not recognized, no matter what software format I applied to the conversion in Word Perfect?? Any suggestions? Thanks!

You can try making a copy of the file then try opening the copy wit notepad.
It may not show you anything but symbols but occasionally copyright info will be shown to determine what the file belongs to

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried to make a copy, and then open with Notepad, but still only see symbols? Any other suggestions? I appreciate your help
