merak mail server
guys, i don't understand. i was able to send email but not being able to receive email.
when i did a server diagnostic i get this error

That seem to be straight forward.... It tell you that you need to add your email server's IP address to the DNS server and you have to make sure that you create a MX record on the DNS server (MX is the short form for Mail eXchange) that's how other server can identify you.

yes, but can anyone please guide me to get mx reocrd?
i am a cpompltet newbie at creating my mail service.
the reason i do this is because there is a forujm i know is blacklising out all free email service. so i am doing this to bypass that.

If you are hosting your own DNS server then it should be simple and painless but if your ISP is providing you that service then you have to contact them and formaly request that (it might cost you some money for that and I'm not even sure if they would allow that for residential service)

so my os is windows 2003 server
i have dns installed but dont wknow how to setup
my marek mail server still detecting the same error.
i need help setting this dns mx up. do i need to install i need exchange server enterprise 2003???!!

thats odd, hey even though i didn't get the mx record fix but i can now send and receieve with my private email service
this is great!! now i dont have to use free email again! hehe
