Acrobat 6.02 process doesn't close

Hey everyone,

I'm just wondering if any one knows a fix to my problem/annoyance. I'm running my computer with Acrobat 6.02 and Avant Browser. The problem I'm having is that when I open a PDF file with a link in Avant, Acrobat opens the file just fine, but when I close the browser, Acrobat.exe stays running.

Does anyone know how to:

- Make Acrobat.exe close when Avant Browser closes
-OR-
- Make Avant open PDF files in Acrobat program (i.e. not in browser window)

Close all Browser Windows
Open Acrobat
"Edit > Preferences > General > Options"
Deselect "Display PDF in Browser"

When you click on a pdf file it will prompt you with the Open or Save dialog choosing open will launch the acrobat program outside the browser.

I've tried that, but when I click on the link, all I get is a blank page with the old style image icon in the top left corner.

Any other suggestions?

at some places where ther is a link for pdf there is usually a link for another type of document so u dont always have to open it with acrobat. Sometimes you should see if it is going to .html or .pdf at the end of the address, because if it is .pdf you can right-click->save target as
