Unhappy Error in Visual Interdev VJ++ project

Hi all,
My system was migrated from Windows NT to Windows XP recently. After the migration, all my Visual Interdev VJ++ projects, which were working perfectly before the migration, started
giving the error "Application 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\WJview.exe' failed to launch", when opened in debug
mode.
I saw some articles on the internet which said that the problem would occur if some other 'wjview.exe' is running without our knowledge. In my case there is no other wjview.exe running. I also read about this problem occuring due to some missing vs7jit.exe. I believe, this executable is the Visual Studio 7 Just-In-Time executable which will launch wjview.exe. In my case, it is Visual Studio 6. Is is because of some missing component in the VJ++ installed? If so, what is this missing component?
I would really appreciate if anyone could give me any suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Treck.

Check the key below

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\
CurrentVersion\Winlogon

There should be a Shell entry under the Winlogon key. It should read as follows:

Shell = "Explorer.exe"

If Shell does not exist or is different from this entry, you must create the entry or change it to Explorer.exe and restart your computer.

Re: Re: Error in Visual Interdev VJ++ project

Hi,

My registry already has the value for 'Shell' in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\
CurrentVersion\Winlogon in registry as "Explorer.exe".

Thanks,
Treck
