microsoft onenote on xp pro

Hi there, i have just bought a panasonic cf-18 and i love it - a laptop and a tablet pc in one - who could want a better second comp !

I would really like to get a handwriting to text app running well for note taking at Uni - however when i installed onenote 2003 - i have found out that the convert handwriting to text option is only enabled if your running windows tablet edition - and i definatley dont want to downgrade to that!

anyone know of anyway of 'tricking' one note into thinking its running on tablet edition? or if failing that know of a good similar app that will run on xp pro?

any help would be much appretiated.
