what does this mean?

When playing BF1942 and BFVietnam my computer keeps crashing. Windows tells me files

C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER7d04.dir00\Mini 102804-03.dmp

and

C:\DOCUME`1\Owner|LOCALS~1\Temp\WER7d04.dir00.sysd ata.xml

are to blame. What are these files? Can i bin them? How do i find them? Please help if you can. I want to upgrade my CPU and MOBO soon, but i'm afraid to do it until i know what these are.

The Temp folder's contents can be deleted so do that and see if it solve the problem.

Ignore my last message. Have now found it. Can i just completely erase the whole folder and recreate a new one in the same name?

You're better off opening the folder and deleting its contents. It's a folder that Windows insists on having and it may not let you delete it anyway.

First, empty the Recycle Bin. Then open the Temp folder, press the Ctrl/a key combination on the keyboard. That will select everything in the folder, then just press the Del key on the keyboard.

Another way to selecti it all is to select the first item in the folder, then scroll to the last item, hold down the Shift key on the keyboard and select the last item. That will select everything in between, as well, then press the Del key.

Either method will send it all to the Recycle Bin. Just leave it in the Recycle Bin for a day or two and if there are no problems, empty the Recycle Bin.
