Outlook 2003
Hi
I'm running office 2003 software but seem to be having some serious problems with Outlook 2003.
Every time i open outlook it carries out the "send/receive" action automatically (as it is supposed to). However, over the last month or so, every time i start outlook to check my mail, it starts downloading the mail but then gets really REALLY slow. The information tip at the bottom of the outl;ook window says downloading for example 22k of 44.3KB...This is where the problem starts
I use use McAfee as my antivirus and firewall software. I've enabled spam filtering and mail viruscan etc etc. When Outlook downloads the mail, McAfee alerts me to a virus that has been sent thru my mail. This happens EVERY time i start outlook. I go on to scan my system for viruses but nothing is found. The Outlook kinda stops receiving at say for example 5.5KB. I have to then close and restart Outlook.
I've tried using a registry cleaner and adware removal software but this is becoming really annoying now and i have no idea why i keep getting these viruses (Its always the same virus). This is the actual message i get:
"The file C:\DOCUME~1\*****\LOCALS~1\Temp\McV45.tmp was infected by the W32/Netsky.p.eml!exe virus and has been deleted to complete the clean process." (BTW ***** is my name)
ANY help would be appreciated
Many Thanx.
