how do I copy from an nfts partition to a fat32 partition

The title says it all. I have a hard disk with two partitions. One is NFTS and the other is Fat 32. How can I transfers the files from the NFTS partition over to the FAT 32 partition?

Is this possible. Partition Magic 7/8 maybe?

TIA

You can transfer the files using Windows copy/paste, just like any other drive or partition. Whether the source partition and destination partition are NTFS or FAT32 makes no difference whatsoever as far as Windows XP is concerned.

I have a feeling the title (and your post) does not "say it all" and I'm missing something. Please be more specific about what it is you're wanting to achieve.

Yes, I have a satelite receiver box which allows me to use an external hard drive to record, but it needs to record onto a FAT32 partion.

I have a 250 Gig Western Digital, which I would like to partition 150 Gig for Windows XP as NTFS, and 100 Gig for the satelite reciever as FAT 32.

Again thanks for all your replies.

You can configure software accompanied with satelite receiver box to record to FAT32 partion. You can copy/paste between two partitions NTFS and FAT32 normally

To get a FAT32 partition you have to create that partition using DOS instead of Windows XP. Boot from a Windows 98 startup floppy disk and use 'FDISK' to create the partition (FDISK is on the Windows 98 startup floppy). DOS does not understand NTFS so it can only create FAT/FAT32 partitions, which is want you want.

Lazyrabbit002, this has absoluteley nothing to do with kabala's topic.
Looks like blatant advertising to me. Either contribute constructively or don't bother extending the thread uselessly.
