nero 6 problem

Hope someone can help. My wife is trying to make slideshow CD's for family, she has all the pictures and sound, and the show will run on the program, but when she tries to burn to cd she gets a message that hard drive has no room for temporary files, also a note that says internal error 1002. We have a seagate 120 GB drive with over 100 GB open. Does anyone have any idea what we might be doing wrong. I sent a message to Nero's support group 4 days ago and still have not gotten a response, also their live tech support is only available during the day, plus they charge for live support. Any help would be appreciated.
Or if anyone has a suggestion for a better software, that would be helpful too. Thanks in advance.

Wish I could help, but all I can do is let you know there is someone out there with the same problem. I am trying to make a VCD slideshow in NVE2. I find if I choose not to burn the original slide show pictures it will burn but the quality is crap. I am currently trying to reduce my file size to well below the yellow dotted line to see if this can help... None of the online forums have offered any solutions. If you have solved this please let me know how!

What you could do is move your DATA to the large disc, freeing up some space on the main disc....then Nero can use the C-drive (as temp) and fetch the data from the ext.......but I guess you've tried this (but didn't say so).
I have found Nero (tech) helpful, even though I still have Never managed an ISO burn (ie one that works in the computer)...just can't get my head round the problem...and I'm not alone!...
The probelm - - with very clever people is they don't want us to know what they know...otherwise we'd not see them as clever. (rant over)!

However, I wonder if there isn't a file problem - have you tried burning a straight data CD? If you then substitute your compilation the Burn should run....my Nero Wizzard has 3 options:- Audio. Data. and Mixed..(Nero v6 from memory), my still photos go as Data...but I've never done a "slideshow", so I dunno, sorry.
Good luck, ..Pictures, audio..It can't be that difficult, can it?

Here's a couple free ones:

http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=VCDEasy
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=...ow_Movie_Maker

One the first link, look partway down the page for the old free version. It's a well-regarded program among video hobbyists, capable of slideshow VCD/SVCD creation. Many (not all!) standalone DVD players can play VCDs and SVCDs.

The second one will create slideshows and save as AVIs, suitable if viewing on a PC, although some players can play DivX/XviD. You gotta have the proper codec(s) on your system. Not really difficult.

If price is no object, get Photodex ProShow. First-class, easy to use. Memories on TV is even easier. Both are capable of some pretty fancy effects, e.g. "Ken Burns" effect, random or specified transitions, sync-to-music, etc. Google them.

Depends what exactly you want to do. Good luck.
