help needed urgently

I am running Windows XP.
My problem is that my PC won't let me access the 'Owner'(which is me) documents on my second hard drive, I need to get these files because the folder contains all my Pictures, Music, Videos etc, and I need some of the pictures for work.

Can someone please help me and tell me how to sort it.
When I try to access the folder it's says something like "F://documnetsandsettings/george/ cannot access file"

Have you fooled with user/admin accounts? If you log in as administrator, you should be able to take ownership of the files.
