"LUDITE ALERT" be gentle

This will probably seem a real stupid question, but if I dont ask, I will never learn.
I run W98
I have Dreamweaver 3
I have purchased a template. I wish to work on that template, well, its content.
Question.
" how do I get the tempate from the desktop into dreamweaver to play with "
no laughing now, I said it was a stupid question.
Cheers Quokka

Is it in .html or .htm format? If yes open Dreamweaver then

File > Open (Point it to the template)

Now you can start working on the template like you work with Microsoft Word.

Thanks for prompt reply.
When I downloaded the template I put it on the desktop.
After opening dreamweaver and clicking open it keeps asking where the template " is "
So I moved it to my documents, it still cant find it, I know its me.
