cant uninstall windows media player 10!

hi,

i was using windows media player 9 to play video embedded in webpages and it worked fine. i then decided to upgrade to version 10. unfortunately, version 10 didn't seem to work, i could hear the audio but the video was frozen. i tried to do the rollback uninstall to version 9 but it gave me errors, so i manually tried to delete the windows media player files from my "program files" directory. after i did this, there was no more option to uninstall WMP in add/remove programs so i can't uninstall WMP anymore. i reinstalled WMP10 but there is still no way for me to uninstall it.

does anyone know of a way to uninstall WMP10? thanks

my problem is similar to the problem stated here

but, its slightly different just the same

i have a brand new computer that has always had windows media player 10 and as such it has nothing to roll back too

and im figuring that i have to get an older version installed in order for my problem to be solved

the problem being that with mozilla i cant view embedded video on webpages

im using the newest version of mozilla and whenever i try to install wmp9 it says i have a more recent version installed and it will now close

any way for me to get these embedded videos to play without getting version 9 installed or getting it installed and getting rid of 10?

i know it works with version 9 and the newest mozilla because i had another computer with those on it and it worked just fine
