Office install problem on WinXP

I just recently decided to reformat my computer and start over from scratch. I installed Windows XP Pro with SP1 and had no problems until I tried to install MS Office.

When I try to install MS Office (I've tried 2000, XP, and 2003) it hard locks my PC to where I have to hit the reset button on the tower. I thought maybe this was a problem with my Office install CDs, but I tried the same discs on another PC with Windows 2000 and they install flawlessly.

So I reformatted my currently PC with Windows 2000 and was able to install Office without any problems. Could this possibly be a problem with my Windows XP Pro install CD? Any help would be appreiated.

Thank you,

Chris
