norton recycle bin wont open

Hi everyone. I have norton anti virus 2005 and the norton protected recycle bin. When i open the recycle bin for the first time after starting up my comp, t does not show any deleted files and i know for a fact that i have deleted files. I then exit the recycle bin. When i try to open it again it wont open and comes up with an error message : "could not make connection with norton unerase service" so i give up and when i turn my computer off and on again the next day the same thing happends again
Does anyone know how i could fix this please? Any help is appreciated as always!

Yes that "Norton Recycle Bin" is very confusing and not without it's problems. I would disable it and return to the normal recycle bin. you can do that (if I remember correctly) by right-clicking the bin and choosing "properties". There should be an option to "disable norton protected recycle bin" or something like that. Then reboot. You should then have the normal recycle bin back and no more problems with it (hopefully).

Delete anything to do with Norton, causes nothing but trouble.

had norton 2004,2005,2006 ( what can I say Im stuborn ) then tied avg....

ran norton before unistalling then installed avg.... norton came up clean...when I ran avg came up with 17 things!!!!!!!!

left norton off computer now atleast 3 times faster and a lot safer !!!!!

and can find my recycle bin now
