Unhappy Can not burn a DVD for the life of me

I have tried program after program but cannot seem to get it right. I am trying to backup all my DVD's on my hard drive and then burn them as well but cannot get the burning down to well. I have used programs to rid of Encryption and everything else under the sun, I am lost for ideas.

Try dvdshrink in conjunction with nero. Don't try to burn from the hdd with these but from the original dvd, shrink will let you remove useless stuff (extra languages etc) create an image file then tell nero to burn it.

Btw this info is only imparted for the backing up of personally owned dvd's as any other type of reproduction for sale or profit is ILLEGAL and I do not condone piracy.

As we all know cds/dvds get scratched from use, I personally burn a copy of every disk I buy then put the original away until such time as the copy becomes unusable, then I burn a new copy from the pristine original.

Cheers

I have actually been using the DVD shrink program but have had no luck. I will try the ISO idea and see what it does, I am not very familiar with the DVD burning area so all of this is new. I do know that it takes 2x as long to create an ISO but if it saves me blank DVD's by solving the problem it is worth it. I have already went through 9 discs trying different programs.

Thanks Kenn

you really should buy a DVD-RW to use til you get it right.

I cant understand why shrink isn't working. It's pretty straight forward

I use DVD Decrypt and DVDShrink to copy my DVD's and Copy2DVD to burn them. Never had a coaster with this setup so far.

Unhappy Burn Process Failed at 2 XXXXXX

I have just recently downloaded the 30 day free trail of nero 6 reloaded having just aquired an external DVD RW.

I have tried on several occasions to burn DVD's, but every time I receive an error message of 'Burn process failed at 2 X (whatever speed I'm trying to burn at)'

Anyone got any idea's?

I'm attaching a copy of the error log:-
