Problem installing McAfee security suite

Hi, I am trying to install this 7.0 version of security suite but I get to a window where it says it will check for previous versions first to delete and configure for installation. I have not had McAfee products before. I wait and nothing happens. It does say it may be necessary to restart the computer which I did, to no avail. Any one have any suggestions.
