Internet Connection Keep-Alive

Hi.
I'm downloading these big files from edonkey(3.5GB total). I'd prefer keeping my PC switched on and downloading the files all night. But sometimes, my internet line disconnects and edonkey cannot reconnect on it's own. I don't want my PC to be on all night doing nothing and consuming power. I require a software which will automatically try to reconnect if my internet connection happens to break. Can anyone help me here?

A download manager would let you resume where it left off, though your ISP may have a 2 hour connection limit.
