You will have to set your privacy level at medium and possibly firewall at medium the first time going there with Zone Alarm installed. I have hotmail and Zone Alarm and hotmail uses cookies. If you have to, lower it to off the first time you go there. After that you shouldn't have to. Also, if you use a mail program to go there you will have to go zone alarms program control and make sure the alert advisor is set at high, it will then ask you if you want to allow your mail program to access the net to retrieve your mail, ckeck the box that says remember this answer and click allow. You can also go into zone alarms program control\programs and you will see your programs that it has detected and make changes there.
This can also happen after you get a zone alarm update, but not usually.(if it's a product update and not just a firewall update). The only bad thing about zone alarm is training it.

thankyou for your reply,i have now managed to get things running. i did do most of what you suggested previously, but my e-mail wasn't listed which confused me despite altering cookie settings several times.in the end i reinstalled i.e 6 and everything is now running smoothly.thanks again
