can't open certain windows

This is not a popup blocker problem that I know of, because I don't use any popup blockers (I fail every popup blocker test page I have been to). I am having problems opening certain windows in IE 6 and Firefox 1.0.1. I have a sneaking suspicion that I have an error in the Javascript files installed on my computer, even though I just reinstalled Windows Script from microsoft.com. This did not fix the problem. (is there any other way to repair javascript?) I have followed Microsoft procedures in order to enable scripting and other intenet features in my browsers, but maybe I am missing a required Active X control or COM file? Here are 2 examples of windows that will not open when I click on the links:
Ocean's 12 Flash Window Initial flash screen opens fine, but the "enter flash site" link is unresponsive.

Extra Tv Galleries With the exception of the few html links, the javascript links do not respond.

These are just a few specific examples of situations I encounter every day on the Internet. Almost any Flash or Javascript operated link will not open on my computer, and I hope someone can identify a missing file, incorrect setting, or registry error that will correct the problem. Thank you for your help.

I have exactly the same problem. Its not an ad blocker problem. Apparently a frien of mine said it was an update problem. I ran live update last night and thats when the problem actually started, it has somehow made it so I can't open java windows. I''ve checked firefox and IE and both have java enabled and i've no idea how to make it so I can access java windows again. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Same problem

I have the same problem. I don't know what it is. I think I also did an update and ever since then various javascript doesn't appear in ie or firefox.

A majority of mlb.com doesn't work at all. The yahoo logo on the their main homepage doesn't appear. Only a red "x".

Please help.
