Record streaming media

Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum. I would appreciate if someone could help me with this...
How can I record streaming windows media?
I tried this program: "Hidownloader" but somehow it isn't able to do the job.
I understand that when windows media player plays some file, it also saves it in some temp folder... is it possible to grab the file from there???

i use cooledit pro to record all my media, never tried recording streaming media, but it should work. check out cooledit on google

BTW, I tried the following programs:
Hidownload: Did not work
WM Recorder: Works very well!!!

Total recorder works for sure.... Used it before.
