Question Changed WinXP resolution, control panel postage stamp size now

Running WinXP home with dell lcd monitor E173FP.
Changed the resolution to 1152 x 684 @ 60 Hz, font to 110%, and rebooted.
Now the properties box is about the size of two postage stamps.
Tried going to safe mode.
Thought it would default to VGA mode, but it did not.
Opened a command prompt.
Changed to the Nvidia directory, and ran setup.
Installed correctly but did not change any resolution settings.
Is there something I can do from the command prompt to get to a usable resolution? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can tell you how to do it "blind" with the keyboard. Don't press any keys other than the ones below because this is a "navigate by numbers" sort of thing. Pressing another key during the process will throw the count off. If you do hit another key by accident, press the Alt/F4 key combination to close the Display Properties window (same as clicking the X) so you can start over.

1. Open the Display Properties window
2. Hold the shift key down and press the Tab key once...that will get you to the first (Themes) tab
3. Press the right arrow key four times...that will get you to the Settings tab
4. Press the Tab key once...that will get you to the Screen Resolution slider
5. Press the left arrow key once...that will move the slider to the left one setting to 1024 X 768.
6. Press the Tab key four times...that will get you to the OK button (if you press the Tab key six times it will take you to the Apply button)
7. Press the Enter key
