Unhappy PC-cillin won't restart after auto update

I've switched from Norton to PC-cillin and so far, I like some of the differences, but I am having a problem. When it is time for updates, which is often, the update screen appears and it goes through the steps of downloading and installing. While this is happening, my system tray icon changes to a 'globe with large yellow arrow' icon, which is normal. My problem is that it does not change back to the lightning bolt when it is done updating. The icon stays as the 'connected' icon and the lightning bolt does not return. At this point 'tmproxy.exe' service is not running in task manager and I am not protected. I then open the PC-cillin main window, and do a manual update. It tells me that there are new components waiting (even though I've just downloaded and supposedly installed them). When this second update completes, the icon changes back to the lightning bolt and the tmproxy.exe service is showing on the task manager. Summary: Update must be run 2 times in order to complete whether the updates are auto or manual. This happens almost every time. Once in a while, it completes the first time. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

I've tried everything I can find on their site

I've tried using the help and have had email conversations with their technical support team for a few weeks now. I've done everything that they told me to do including downloading and extracting the cleanup files. The morning after that I could not even boot my machine and so after a full system restore and a re-install of PC-Cillin Internet Security 2005, the problem still exists. It's happening on my husbands computer as well. The update works fine, but you have to do it 2 times each time for it to complete and bring back the lightning bolt. In the meantime, my email is not being scanned, which is worse than not having the update. I can usually figure these thing out after a while, but this one has me stumped.
