Google doesn't work anymore!

Hi all,
I have a very weird problem.
I have 2 user accounts on my laptop, both with administrative rights (I have Win XPSP2).
Under one account, in IE, I open the Google home page, type a search string, click on the search button and get the results.
When I do the same under the other account, absolutely nothing happens. No results. It doesn't even start searching, the flag doesn't move, there is no activity at all. And the same is true with other search engines, none of them works. The navigation on the internet, for other things, works. How is this possible?
I set up a third account, and again, Google didn't work.
But when I installed Mozilla Firefox, Google worked fine. So, it should be something related to IE.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Try running IEFIX. It might fix the problem and it won't hurt anything to run it.

If that doesn't do the trick, have you scanned for spyware recently? If not, three excellent and free spware removers are Windows AntiSpyware, Spybot and Ad-Aware.

Maybe there's a corrupt cookie. Try deleting all the cookies.

Defintly scan for spyware/adware by the way www.downloads.com have set up a spyware center its very usefull
